Job description
Role overview
We are looking for a European Human Resources Director to support a major industrial organization with 10,000 employees across 20 large production locations in strategic regions of Europe. The role sits within a business area undergoing major change and requires someone who can shape a consistent, ambitious HR direction that supports the group’s growth agenda.
In this leadership position, you will act as the key designer of HR policy across Europe, aligning people strategy with business priorities such as innovation, operational effectiveness, and long-term performance. The position calls for strong international judgment, the ability to manage complexity, and a hands-on approach to supporting local realities while preserving the organization’s identity and values.
What you will do
You will coordinate and align HR practices across the continent, covering areas such as talent management, cross-border mobility, workforce and skills development, compensation frameworks, and diversity initiatives. You will also guide social dialogue, support changing job structures, and help modernize HR processes through digital tools and practices.
Working closely with local HR leaders and site managers, you will contribute to initiatives related to training for emerging roles, mobility programs, individualized development paths, employee well-being, recognition, and quality-of-work-life improvements. You will also serve as a visible ambassador for the employer brand and help strengthen the company’s attractiveness in the market.
Leadership impact
This is a role for someone who can bring together teams, influence stakeholders, and provide trusted strategic guidance to the European Executive Committee. Your leadership, political awareness, and ability to work across countries and functions will be essential in driving transformation and supporting a division in active evolution.
About the environment
The organization promotes a culture built on collective commitment, pride in the product, and high standards of excellence. The environment values autonomy, creativity, teamwork, inclusion, fairness, and employee well-being. The broader mission is to foster responsible growth while remaining anchored in respect, innovation, and shared performance.
Profile
You should hold a graduate degree in Human Resources, Business, or Employment Law. The ideal candidate has demonstrated HR leadership experience in complex, multi-site, international industrial settings, and is comfortable working in environments where economic, social, and organizational challenges intersect.
The role suits someone known for strong listening skills, empathy, natural leadership, and the ability to inspire confidence. You should be able to unite multidisciplinary teams around meaningful objectives and bring both strategic perspective and people-centered judgment to a large-scale transformation program.
