Job description

Role overview

This opportunity is being promoted on behalf of a partner organization that handles the application process and all subsequent hiring steps. The hiring company is seeking an experienced Europe Communications Lead based in Ireland.

You will join a forward-looking communications function focused on artificial intelligence and new technologies. The role centers on building and delivering communication plans across Europe, strengthening relationships with media, industry voices, and other influential stakeholders, and turning complex technical developments into clear stories that connect with varied audiences. You will work closely with teams across research, product, legal, marketing, and leadership to support strategic messaging across multiple markets.

This position suits a seasoned communications professional who is comfortable operating in a fast-moving environment and helping shape how innovative technology is understood by the public.

Key responsibilities

  • Design and run integrated communications strategies for European markets to raise awareness and reinforce reputation.
  • Drive media outreach efforts, including press pitching, briefings, announcements, interview preparation, spokesperson support, and reputation-focused initiatives.
  • Develop trusted connections with journalists, editors, event organizers, researchers, and other important industry contacts throughout Europe.
  • Build market-specific communication plans that account for the cultural, political, and social differences across European regions.
  • Work across marketing, product, research, engineering, legal, policy, partnerships, and safety teams to keep messaging aligned and priorities coordinated.
  • Prepare executive-level communication materials such as talking points, FAQs, press statements, partnership news, investment-related updates, and expansion announcements.
  • Coordinate regional speaking opportunities, awards submissions, executive participation, and company events together with global communications counterparts.
  • Track market and industry developments, spot storytelling angles, and explain technical innovations in a way that is accessible and compelling to broad audiences.

Requirements

  • At least 7 years of experience in communications, public relations, or corporate communications, either in agencies or high-growth technology businesses.
  • Established history of building credible relationships with leading media outlets and journalists across Europe.
  • Good understanding of both established and emerging channels, including research publications, technical communities, podcasts, and digital creators.
  • Strong ability to turn advanced technical or scientific ideas into simple, persuasive messaging for different audiences.
  • Excellent writing, speaking, and presentation skills, with experience producing materials for executives.
  • Ability to juggle several projects at once while staying detail-oriented and meeting deadlines.
  • Experience collaborating with technical and commercial stakeholders in dynamic, rapidly changing settings.
  • Strong strategic judgment, stakeholder management capability, and problem-solving ability.
  • Comfort working independently as part of a fully remote, internationally distributed team.

Benefits and additional information

  • Competitive compensation aligned with experience, skills, qualifications, and location.
  • Fully remote setup with the flexibility to work from anywhere in Europe.
  • Chance to collaborate with recognized specialists in artificial intelligence and emerging technologies.
  • High-responsibility position with significant ownership of regional communications strategy.
  • Collaborative, international, and innovation-focused team environment.
  • Inclusive culture that supports diversity, equity, and equal opportunity.
  • Opportunities for learning, professional growth, and career progression within a quickly expanding organization.

Application and hiring process

The partner company manages applications and the next steps in the process. An AI-assisted matching system may be used to review applications for fit against the role’s core requirements, and the shortlist is then shared with the hiring company. Final decisions, including interviews and assessments, are handled by the employer’s internal team.

By submitting an application, candidates agree that personal data may be processed to evaluate candidacy and shared with the hiring employer in line with applicable data protection laws, including GDPR. Applicants may request access, correction, deletion, or objection regarding their data. AI tools may also assist with parts of the screening process, but human review remains central to final hiring decisions.
