- Develop lasting relationships with reporters, editors, event organizers, researchers, and other key stakeholders throughout Europe.
- Build localized communication plans that take into account the cultural, political, and social context of each market.
- Work in close partnership with marketing, product, research, engineering, legal, policy, partnerships, and safety teams to keep messaging and priorities aligned.
- Prepare leadership-facing communication materials such as talking points, FAQs, press releases, partnership news, funding updates, and expansion announcements.
- Coordinate regional speaking opportunities, awards activity, executive engagements, and company events together with global communications colleagues.
- Track industry developments, spot storytelling opportunities, and communicate technical innovation in a way that is accessible to broad audiences.
Experience and requirements
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in communications, public relations, or corporate communications, either in agencies or high-growth technology companies.
- Demonstrated success in building trusted relationships with leading media outlets and journalists across Europe.
- Solid knowledge of both traditional and newer media ecosystems, including research journals, technical communities, podcasts, and digital creators.
- Strong ability to convert complex technical or scientific ideas into messaging that is easy to understand and compelling for different audiences.
- Excellent written, spoken, and presentation skills, including experience producing communications for executives.
- Proven ability to manage several priorities at once while staying detail-oriented and meeting deadlines.
- Experience collaborating with technical and business teams in fast-moving, evolving environments.
- Strong strategic judgment, stakeholder management capability, and problem-solving skills.
- Capacity to work independently as part of a fully remote, internationally distributed team.
Benefits and additional information
- Compensation is competitive and will depend on experience, skills, qualifications, and location.
- This is a fully remote position with the flexibility to work from anywhere in Europe.
- Opportunity to collaborate with leading specialists in artificial intelligence and emerging technologies.
- High-ownership role with substantial influence over regional communications strategy.
- Inclusive, collaborative, and internationally oriented work culture focused on innovation.
- The organization promotes diversity, equity, and equal opportunity.
- Professional growth and career development opportunities are available within a fast-scaling organization.
