About the Opportunity
The Civil & Infrastructure division is expanding, and the business is seeking an experienced Estimator with a solid background in water and wastewater infrastructure to join the Gold Coast team. The opening has come up because of major project wins, internal advancement, and a growing tender pipeline. This position suits someone who wants to take ownership of important civil infrastructure tenders across Southeast Queensland and the Northern Rivers.
Key Responsibilities
- Build detailed estimates using a mix of supplier quotations and first-principles rate analysis.
- Prepare tender and budget estimates from start to finish.
- Measure quantities and check work scope to validate cost assumptions.
- Apply rates and pricing to arrive at final construction costs.
- Work with internal stakeholders throughout the estimating process.
- Support the improvement of estimating systems, resource tracking, and rate libraries.
- Partner with the Business Development team to support growth and identify new opportunities.
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers to support a reliable, high-quality supply chain.
- Liaise regularly with clients and client representatives in target markets.
- Represent the business positively to help open up new opportunities.
- Take part in early tender-stage discussions with the Estimating Manager and other team members.
- Assist the Project Team with post-tender meetings, clarification requests, and discussion points.
About You
- You bring a strong commitment to quality and professionalism in everything you do.
- You are experienced with Expert Estimation, or a comparable estimating platform.
- You have at least 3 years of relevant experience and a proven record in a similar role.
- You communicate clearly and manage your time well.
- You are self-driven and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
