Estimator - Roofing & Cladding (Fully Remote, Ireland)

Position Overview

Our client, a reputable and expanding contractor specializing in roofing and cladding, is seeking a skilled Estimator to join their team on a fully remote basis within Ireland. Primary Responsibilities

• Develop precise cost estimates and prepare competitive tender submissions.
• Examine architectural plans, specifications, and tender documents thoroughly.
• Calculate quantities and compile detailed pricing information.
• Solicit and assess quotes from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Analyze project expenses and identify potential value engineering improvements.
• Collaborate with project managers, contracts managers, clients, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution.
• Support project handover procedures upon successful tender awards.
• Ensure all tenders are completed with accuracy and submitted before deadlines.

Candidate Qualifications

• Prior experience as an Estimator within the construction industry.
• Essential experience working specifically with roofing, cladding, or as part of a construction subcontractor.
• Strong expertise in interpreting construction drawings and tender documentation.
• Excellent commercial insight coupled with meticulous attention to detail.
• Capability to handle multiple tenders simultaneously and work independently in a fully remote context.
• Fluent English communication skills, both spoken and written.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and estimating software tools.
• Full eligibility to work in Ireland.
