Estimator Fit Out & Refurbishment

About the Role

We are seeking a Commercial Manager/Estimator specializing in Fit Out and Refurbishment to join our team in Oxted, covering the South East area. This role focuses on industrial fit out and refurbishment projects, typically involving comprehensive renovation tasks such as flooring, electrical work, plumbing, painting, roofing, and cladding.

The position entails developing and supporting a new division, managing commercial, compliance, and supply chain activities across various projects valued between £100,000 and £3,000,000.

Key Responsibilities

• Take full commercial responsibility including cash flow forecasting, valuations, project accounts, and monitoring contract variations and payments.
• Procure materials and negotiate subcontractor packages while managing final accounts.
• Ensure compliance with contractual, technical, and employer's requirements, including managing RFIs, submittals, and value engineering processes.
• Apply a proactive and forward-thinking approach, working both independently and collaboratively using construction management software.

Candidate Profile

• Extensive experience in commercial or industrial fit-out projects.
• Preferably with refurbishment experience in CAT A industrial or commercial works.
• Strong existing industry contacts are highly advantageous.
• Proven background as an Estimator, Commercial Manager, or similar role.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills across all organizational levels.
• Confident and articulate demeanor.

Compensation and Benefits

• Salary range: £60,000 to £80,000 annually, plus a potential bonus.
• Benefits include £8,000 car allowance or a company Ford Ranger, pension scheme, phone, laptop, and 22 days of annual leave.
