Essay Guidance Coach for Top University Applications

About the Role

We assist students in developing strong applications for prestigious universities worldwide, focusing on major study destinations. We seek an experienced coach to write and refine Statements of Purpose, Letters of Recommendation, resumes, and university-specific essays that are carefully personalized, sincere, and precisely tailored to each student's individual profile, avoiding generic templates.

Responsibilities

• Create and polish SOPs utilizing data from student interviews, profile information, and career objectives delivered by the counseling team.
• Compose LORs collaboratively based on input from students and recommenders, ensuring the tone and details align with the recommender's voice.
• Develop clear, accomplishment-centered resumes and CVs personalized for every student's profile.
• Write additional essays required by universities for key study locations globally.
• Revise documents through multiple iterations informed by internal evaluations and student feedback.
• Ensure the utmost confidentiality regarding students’ personal and academic details.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience coaching or writing personal essays, SOPs, or comparable narrative documents.
• Educational background in literature, creative writing, or a related discipline.
• Exceptional storytelling skills to identify and craft powerful narratives from raw content.
• Outstanding command of English with strong abilities in narrative construction and editing.
• Capacity to adjust tone and voice appropriately for varied students and recommenders.
• Comfort working from structured materials such as interview notes and profile summaries, rather than creating content entirely from scratch.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in journalism, publishing, or professional storytelling is advantageous.
• Familiarity with admissions consulting or similar agencies.
• Experience coaching students in STEM or technology-focused profiles is a plus.

Compensation

The role offers a full-time salary commensurate with experience. Part-time or project-based payments may also be considered depending on availability and suitability. Specific salary details will be shared after application review.
