Overview

Join a leading UK mattress brand as an ESG Graduate contributing directly to advancing sustainable business practices. In this fixed-term hybrid position based in Barnoldswick, Lancashire, you will collaborate with senior leaders to support the next B Corp certification cycle, influencing environmental, social, and governance performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in delivering the B Corp recertification initiative across the organisation.
  • Gather and organise evidence from various departments to support certification requirements.
  • Evaluate ESG-related data to pinpoint areas for sustainable improvement.
  • Partner with teams in Manufacturing, HR, Procurement, Finance, and Operations to integrate ethical and responsible policies.
  • Contribute to sustainability reporting efforts and internal communications.
  • Participate in projects aimed at lowering environmental impact and enhancing social value.
  • Conduct research on the latest sustainability regulations, industry trends, and best practices.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Degree or anticipated degree in relevant fields such as environmental sciences, geography, engineering, data analytics, economics, business, public policy, or sustainability.
  • Strong analytical abilities and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills enabling clear explanation of technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency with data interpretation and Microsoft Excel.
  • A proactive, eager-to-learn mindset with genuine enthusiasm for sustainable business practices.
