This position sits within Investment Management in Mumbai and is at the Analyst/Associate level. The role supports ESG research and investment efforts for fixed income, with a strong emphasis on coordinating content for client due diligence, RFPs, and other investor-facing communications.

About the Team
The Fixed Income ESG Strategy & Research team supports sustainability integration across fixed income asset classes. The group combines bottom-up issuer and security analysis with specialist support in areas such as product, regulation, data, reporting, and client inquiries. Team members are spread across New York, Boston, Washington DC, and London.
Key Purpose
The firm is looking for a detail-focused and well-organized ESG Analyst to help run and strengthen ESG research and investment support for fixed income. This person will work at the intersection of ESG, fixed income investing, and client reporting, while handling workflow management, documentation, and response materials with a strong focus on quality and consistency.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, coordinate, and deliver ESG responses for RFPs, DDQs, consultant databases, and similar investor requests related to fixed income strategies.
- Build, update, and improve ESG response libraries, templates, and reference materials so they stay accurate and consistent with firmwide practices and investment processes.
- Gather, structure, and verify ESG data, issuer-level information, and qualitative disclosures by working with investment, ESG research, compliance, legal, and operations teams.
- Track and summarize changes in ESG regulation, disclosure requirements, and industry frameworks relevant to fixed income markets and investor needs.
- Support day-to-day ESG research workflows by monitoring deliverables, managing deadlines, coordinating inputs, and helping prioritize active projects.
- Organize, maintain, and quality-check ESG research materials, issuer assessments, data sources, and internal records to improve scalability and efficiency.
- Help with internal ESG reporting, documentation, and record retention to support audits, internal reviews, and investor due diligence.
- Answer ESG-related client questions and contribute to cross-functional initiatives focused on integrating ESG into fixed income strategies.
- Identify opportunities to automate selected tasks through AI, including creating and managing agents to perform these functions.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related sustainability field is required; a master’s degree is considered an advantage.
- Between 1 and 3 years of experience in financial services, ideally with exposure to responsible investment or ESG analysis.
- Working knowledge of fixed income asset classes and investment approaches.
- Strong spoken and written English communication skills.
- Ability to work independently or collaboratively, with solid interpersonal and organizational capabilities.
- High work ethic, positive attitude, and the ability to handle pressure and meet demanding deadlines.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office tools such as Word, PowerPoint, and Excel; familiarity with financial platforms and databases such as Bloomberg and MSCI, plus coding ability, would be beneficial.
