Job description
Overview
We are looking for an Equipment Engineer with a background in mechatronics, automation, or a related engineering discipline to support and enhance automotive stamping machinery. This position involves close collaboration with the Maintenance and Process Engineering teams, acting as a bridge between the two departments. The core objective is to promote equipment reliability, continuous improvement, and optimization through the application of lean principles and technical proficiency.
Responsibilities and Requirements
- Possess a degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a similar field.
- Have at least three years of experience within the automotive industry.
- Demonstrate strong practical knowledge of Siemens PLCs, including Step7 and TIA Portal platforms.
- Be proficient in working with WinCC HMI/SCADA software systems.
- Have a solid understanding of electronics, electrical systems, and industrial control mechanisms.
- Be knowledgeable about motors, variable frequency drives (VFDs), soft starters, and related electrical components.
- Understand hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical system operation and maintenance.
- Experience with automotive stamping processes, including presses, transfer systems, and feeders.
- Ability to interpret and work with electrical, mechanical, and control system schematics.
- Have exposure to KUKA robots, including operation, programming, or troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing methodologies such as Kaizen, SMED, and TPM.
- Experience in leading projects aimed at equipment improvement or operational optimization.
