Environmental Services Worker - Full-Time Days at UF Health Gainesville

Job Overview

This role involves cleaning and servicing designated areas within the hospital following established protocols. The position includes moving furniture and supplies around the facility and performing a variety of environmental service tasks to ensure the hospital remains clean, organized, and sanitary.

Qualifications

Applicants should ideally possess a high school diploma or an equivalent qualification. The ability to comprehend and follow both written and verbal instructions is mandatory. While prior experience in hospital or healthcare housekeeping is not required, the employee is expected to successfully complete training provided by the department, equipping them with the necessary skills to fulfill the job requirements by the end of their probation period.

Additional Information

Motor Vehicle Operator Status: This role does not include operating vehicles for work-related purposes. It is noted that a frequent driver is someone who uses their personal or Shands vehicle at least once daily, takes five or more individual trips weekly, or drives over 150 miles per week for their job. The correct classification should be indicated on the Request for Personnel form when submitting the position to be posted.
