Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a corporate resource and technical advisor for SH&E compliance.
  • Guide operational sites on policies, regulatory reporting, permits, compliance obligations, monitoring, inspections, audits, and conformance assurance.
  • Support investigations and corrective actions related to incidents, spills, and non-compliance.
  • Integrate environmental risks with safety and health risk frameworks and assist in updating risk assessments relating to environmental factors, safety, and operational changes.
  • Analyze trends to proactively minimize risks.
  • Lead implementation and enhancement of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems, standardizing procedures and audit processes across sites.
  • Collaborate with sites on environmental management, tracking compliance gaps, and system improvements.
  • Develop and deliver SH&E training and guidance to improve compliance, system understanding, and audit readiness.
  • Promote accountability and environmental stewardship culture.
  • Serve as the corporate liaison with regulatory bodies, consultants, and internal departments, facilitating audits and corrective measures.
  • Support sustainability initiatives and ESG reporting aligned with corporate goals.
  • Maintain consistent and accurate environmental KPI tracking and reporting, including backup for NestCare reporting.
  • Use data-driven insights to identify trends and drive continuous improvement.

Performance Metrics

  • Timely closure of audit findings and compliance gaps.
  • Accurate and punctual completion of reporting, permit obligations, and records.
  • Enhancement of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 maturity and audit preparedness.
  • Delivery of effective environmental and management system training.
  • Reduction in repeated compliance issues and overdue corrective actions.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in environmental compliance or a related SH&E role within manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with EPA, OSHA, and DOT regulations.
  • Knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards and management systems.
