Role Overview

Ballina Shire Council is looking to recruit qualified, experienced, and enthusiastic professionals to join their Health and Environment team as Environmental Health Officers. Reporting to the Coordinator of Health and Environment, successful candidates will offer expert advice and support while managing a broad spectrum of environmental health services and compliance duties within a local government framework. The role demands autonomy in handling diverse environmental health issues and fostering a customer-centric service ethos.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive environmental health services and compliance within local government settings.

Candidate Requirements

• Hold tertiary qualifications in environmental health or related scientific disciplines.
• Have proven experience in environmental health roles, especially within local government, delivering specialized services.

• Exhibit advanced communication capabilities in both written and oral formats, including preparing detailed reports and submissions related to environmental health.
