Role Summary
We are looking for an Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Coordinator to enhance our Group EHS Management System. This role offers a great chance for an EHS professional who enjoys operational support, coordination, reporting, and stakeholder engagement to make a meaningful difference in workplace health, safety, and environmental outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage vital components of the Group EHS Management System to ensure consistency.
- Assist in developing, reviewing, and maintaining EHS policies, procedures, standards, and templates.
- Maintain records such as risk registers, incident logs, corrective action plans, and training documentation.
- Prepare and present EHS reports, dashboards, KPI monitoring, and trend analyses for leadership and governance.
- Organize and follow up on EHS audits, inspections, reviews, and corrective actions.
- Support documentation, tracking, and reporting for investigations into incidents and near misses.
- Contribute to EHS communication efforts, including toolbox talks, inductions, and engagement campaigns.
- Help operational teams with risk assessments, Safe Operating Procedures, and compliance tasks.
- Manage EHS training schedules, records, and reporting requirements.
- Support environmental compliance efforts and workplace monitoring activities.
- Collaborate with operations, HR, and leadership to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in EHS coordination or support roles.
- Background in manufacturing, logistics, warehousing, industrial, or multi-site operational environments.
- Thorough knowledge of New Zealand health and safety legislation, including the Health and Safety at Work Act (HSWA).
- Experience in supporting audits, investigations, inspections, reporting, and document control.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office tools.
- Excellent written communication abilities to create clear and practical documents.
- A collaborative approach with strong stakeholder management and service orientation.
- Relevant qualifications such as NEBOSH or NZ Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety are advantageous.
