Role Overview
This full-time, on-site Environment Health Safety (EHS) Coordinator position, based in Singapore, entails the execution and supervision of EHS policies, procedures, and programs to ensure strict compliance with regulatory mandates and company policies. Daily tasks include performing workplace inspections, spotting potential hazards, supporting risk evaluation activities, and ensuring corrective measures are implemented effectively.
The coordinator is also responsible for creating and presenting safety training sessions, maintaining detailed EHS documentation, and aiding in incident reporting and investigation processes. Collaboration with operational teams is key to fostering safety consciousness, ensuring environmental adherence, and driving ongoing improvements throughout all operational sectors.
Qualifications and Skills
- Solid grounding in both Health & Safety and Workplace Safety, with practical capability to implement EHS principles in an operational context.
- Proven experience managing Environment Health and Safety programs, including attention to Occupational Health facets.
- Competence in designing and facilitating engaging Safety Training that supports compliance across various teams.
- Familiarity with Singapore's EHS laws, standards, and prevailing best practices.
- Educational background: diploma or degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or related disciplines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills allowing effective influence and teamwork at all hierarchy levels.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills to manage accurate EHS records and reports.
- Holding professional EHS or Workplace Safety certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, WSQ safety courses) is an added advantage.
