Position Overview

The Business Manager – Client & Product role within the New York COO office offers vital support to the Corporate Client teams by managing day-to-day business operations and facilitating business development and project management activities. This position ensures smooth execution of strategies throughout the customer and product lifecycle, requiring close collaboration with Front Office and Support functions like Compliance, Risk, Operations, and Finance. The Business Manager works alongside COO Business Managers to identify and resolve business challenges and coordinate implementation of process enhancements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide daily operational and administrative support to New York Corporate Client teams, encompassing client and product administration, policy adherence, issue resolution, and control-related tasks.
  • Assist in strategic business development and COO initiatives by partnering with departmental leaders to plan, analyze, and execute growth projects.
  • Offer project management support for both strategic and operational projects to ensure timely delivery.
  • Assist Senior Business Managers with preparing analytical materials, including presentations, meeting documentation, and reports.
  • Analyze client and product data to identify data quality concerns and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Manage administrative aspects for Corporate Client teams, such as facilitating Front Office credit and product approval procedures and maintaining CRM Dynamics data quality.
  • Support the execution of business partner due diligence (BPDD), COMWIO, TPRM, and other relevant control processes for Front Office and COO.
  • Draft and update corporate banking policies in collaboration with relevant stakeholders, including policies for CBRS of New York Branch and CMLLC.
  • Support audit activities related to Corporate Clients, including fieldwork, remediation of findings, and coordination of internal and external audits.
  • Partner with Operational Risk Managers to capture, report, and monitor operational risks encountered by Front Office within bank systems.
  • Handle miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
  • 0 to 3 years of professional experience, preferably within financial services or banking.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment along with strong project management capabilities.
  • Highly motivated, detail-oriented with solid organizational and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrates strong initiative and work ethic, adaptable to evolving responsibilities.
  • Capable of managing steep learning curves and high-volume workloads.
  • Team-oriented with excellent interpersonal skills and comfortable working with colleagues locally and offshore.
  • Proficient communication skills, both verbal and written, with strong analytical aptitude.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and SharePoint.
  • Meticulous attention to detail combined with excellent multitasking and prioritization abilities.
