What You Will Do

• Create short-form copy for TV shows, films, and other entertainment titles while staying aligned with a defined brand voice.
• Edit and rework AI-generated entertainment text so it reads naturally, stays accurate, and fits the tone of the genre.
• Look up plot points, cast information, episode details, and cultural context to ensure every line is factually sound.
• Adjust the writing style to match the title and genre, such as keeping a horror logline appropriately tense rather than making it sound like a romantic comedy.
• Identify AI outputs that misunderstand genre conventions, contain factual errors, or feel inconsistent in voice.

Who We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate is an actual writer with experience in short-form copy, editorial work, brand writing, fiction, screenwriting, or published reviews. Work that is only loosely related to writing will not be enough. Applicants should include a portfolio link, clippings, a Substack, or published samples.

You should have authentic fluency in entertainment content. If you can quickly explain the difference between isekai and shōnen, recommend a comedian’s set, or describe why a K-drama such as Destined With You works, you are likely a strong fit.

Strong conversational US English is required, along with excellent command of tone, grammar, and register. You should also be comfortable writing in someone else’s voice, such as a publication, brand, or persona, rather than only your own.

A background in English, Creative Writing, Journalism, Film/Media Studies, Theatre, or Communications can be helpful, but it is not mandatory.

The role suits someone who is comfortable with structured short-form work, including character limits, style guides, and a high standard for accuracy.

The position is part-time at approximately 20 hours per week. It is freelance in nature, remote, and intended for immediate start.
