English Specialist (Remote, Part-Time)

Role Summary

We are seeking an English Specialist to join our team on a part-time remote basis. This position involves assessing English language proficiency for non-native speakers by evaluating their written and spoken responses according to defined criteria.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and score English language written and spoken outputs to determine proficiency.
• Grade submissions using established rubrics and standards to ensure consistency.
• Offer clear and impartial feedback regarding language use and proficiency.
• Keep detailed records of assessments for quality control purposes.
• Meet deadlines strictly while ensuring confidentiality of all assessment materials.

Qualifications and Skills

• Must have native or near-native command of the English language.
• Experience in language evaluation, teaching, or related areas is advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail paired with the ability to rigorously apply evaluation guidelines.
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Knowledge of established language proficiency frameworks like CEFR is a benefit.
