Role Summary
We are seeking an English Specialist to join our team on a part-time remote basis. This position involves assessing English language proficiency for non-native speakers by evaluating their written and spoken responses according to defined criteria.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and score English language written and spoken outputs to determine proficiency.
- Grade submissions using established rubrics and standards to ensure consistency.
- Offer clear and impartial feedback regarding language use and proficiency.
- Keep detailed records of assessments for quality control purposes.
- Meet deadlines strictly while ensuring confidentiality of all assessment materials.
Qualifications and Skills
- Must have native or near-native command of the English language.
- Experience in language evaluation, teaching, or related areas is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail paired with the ability to rigorously apply evaluation guidelines.
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
- Knowledge of established language proficiency frameworks like CEFR is a benefit.
