Job description
Role Overview
This remote contractor position focuses on reviewing and improving AI-generated English responses, as well as creating expert-level language content when needed. The work centers on judging how well an answer solves the prompt, whether the reasoning is sound, and where edits are needed to make the output more accurate and polished. You will also be expected to compare multiple AI answers, identify flaws in logic or meaning, fact-check content when required, and provide clear, practical feedback that helps refine the final result.
The company is an AI data services provider that supports training data work for some of the world’s largest AI organizations and foundation-model labs. Your language expertise will contribute directly to making AI systems more precise, natural, and easy to understand.
Please note that there is no active project available right now. If you are a strong match, you may be contacted first when suitable work becomes available, and you may also be considered for future opportunities within the expert network.
Responsibilities
- Review AI-written English answers and judge them for correctness, clarity, and prompt alignment.
- Spot issues in logic, meaning, methodology, and conceptual understanding, including subtle shifts in meaning or ambiguity.
- Check facts whenever necessary and ensure the response is reliable and accurate.
- Write strong explanations and corrected versions that show the right approach.
- Compare multiple model outputs and choose the strongest response based on accuracy and reasoning quality.
- Create AI training prompts and sample responses across different subjects to support model learning.
- Test AI outputs for possible errors or bias and help validate performance across use cases.
- Improve model fluency, consistency, and contextual relevance through careful evaluation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Linguistics, English, Translation/Localization, Communications, Journalism, or a related discipline.
- Advanced English ability at C1 level or higher; native-level or C2-level fluency is preferred.
- Additional professional-level language skills in at least one other language are a strong advantage.
- Solid knowledge of grammar, syntax, semantics, pragmatics, discourse flow, and editing style across different tones and registers.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to detect inconsistencies, unclear phrasing, meaning drift, and subtle mistakes.
- Capability to explain corrections and reasoning clearly in writing.
- Comfort working with style guides and maintaining consistency in terminology, punctuation, capitalization, and tone.
- Self-motivated and dependable in a remote, hourly contractor setup that may span different time zones.
- Prior exposure to AI annotation, AI training data, editorial quality assurance, localization QA, or professional copyediting is highly preferred.
- Practical experience using tools such as Perplexity, Gemini, ChatGPT, and similar AI platforms.
Additional Information
This role is structured as an hourly remote contract engagement. It is intended for candidates who can deliver expert language judgment and maintain high-quality output in a flexible contractor workflow.
