Role Overview

The English Instructor position based in Dokki, Cairo involves teaching English to individual learners and groups in a full-time, on-site capacity. The instructor will develop lesson plans, prepare educational resources, and evaluate learner progress through various assessments including assignments, quizzes, and exams. This role requires adapting teaching strategies to suit diverse learner profiles and proficiency levels, while also maintaining detailed attendance and performance records. Collaboration with team members and participation in ongoing professional development are essential components of the position.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver learner-focused English language instruction aligned with Guide Academy’s standards and curriculum.
• Design comprehensive lesson plans and prepare instructional materials.
• Assess and monitor learners’ progress through assignments, tests, and exams providing constructive feedback.
• Foster an inclusive and supportive educational environment tailored to diverse learners’ needs.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance and academic performance.
• Engage in professional development activities and collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching methods and program quality.

Qualification Requirements

• Demonstrated expertise in English instruction, language teaching principles, and general teaching methodologies.
• Sound understanding of education theories and experience implementing curricula.
• Strong writing skills for lesson preparation, assessment creation, and learner feedback.
• Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, Linguistics, or a closely related discipline preferred.
• Prior teaching experience with learners at varied proficiency levels, ideally within classroom or academy settings.
• Effective communication abilities, proficient classroom management, and capability to nurture learners from diverse backgrounds.
• Organizational skills, punctuality, and dependable commitment to full-time onsite instruction in Cairo.
• Additional teaching certifications such as CELTA, TEFL, or TESOL are advantageous.
