About the Role
The Write Connection (TWC) is a Singapore-based education provider dedicated to empowering primary and secondary students in English and writing skills. With a team of over 100 educators, TWC aims to nurture thoughtful and empathetic learners by delivering comprehensive English instruction using in-house developed materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver 10 to 12 English classes weekly, including occasional coverage for absent colleagues.
- Present structured and engaging lessons supported by curriculum materials crafted by TWC's expert team.
- Create a positive and supportive classroom atmosphere that encourages a growth mindset for student development.
- Accurately evaluate students' assignments in a timely manner, tracking progress and offering constructive feedback.
- Maintain open communication with parents, providing updates on their child’s academic and personal development.
- Participate weekly in professional development meetings to enhance teaching skills.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Possession of a degree from a recognized university, preferably in Law, Arts, Humanities, Social Sciences, or Communications.
- Strong academic accomplishments, especially in English and General Paper subjects.
- A passion for teaching English and writing to primary and secondary school learners; prior experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Willingness to acquire and apply teaching methodologies to support students at varied competency levels.
- Alignment with TWC’s teaching philosophy and methods.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities to engage effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Strong work ethic capable of managing up to 12 classes weekly.
- Availability to work five days per week, which may include weekend shifts; compensation reflects experience and weekend commitments.
