Engineer - Plant & Machinery (P&M) - Site

Role Overview

As an Engineer for Plant & Machinery at site, you will be accountable for the day-to-day functioning, maintenance, and performance tracking of construction equipment and machinery at the project location. The position focuses on keeping equipment ready for use, following maintenance plans, observing safety requirements, and ensuring machines are used efficiently so that project work continues without interruption.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the running and upkeep of all construction plant and equipment on site, with an emphasis on strong availability and dependable performance.
• Plan and carry out preventive maintenance routines and inspection checklists, working closely with site teams and external service providers.
• Track fuel usage, machine productivity, and equipment downtime, then initiate corrective measures to reduce wastage and losses.
• Maintain compliance with manufacturer instructions, safety procedures, and applicable statutory requirements while handling and operating machinery.
• Assist with the movement of equipment into and out of the site, ensuring records and supporting documents are properly maintained.
