Engineer - Civil (QA/QC) - PV

Job Summary

We are looking for a QA/QC Engineer to take ownership of quality assurance and quality control across engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities for a photovoltaic solar project in the United Arab Emirates. The role is centered on setting up quality controls, carrying out inspections, and making sure all work aligns with project specifications and accepted industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Build, apply, and keep updated the project’s QA and QC plans, processes, and procedures.
• Verify that project execution meets technical specifications, applicable standards, and contract obligations.
• Inspect and test materials, equipment, and workmanship at different project stages to confirm compliance with requirements.
• Log, follow up, and close out non-conformances, while supporting corrective and preventive action planning with project teams.
• Keep complete quality documentation such as inspection reports, test records, and certificates of conformity.
• Track the quality performance of vendors and subcontractors, including audits and assessments where needed.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams so quality expectations are clearly understood and achieved.
• Carry out internal and external audits of the quality management system to ensure compliance with ISO standards and project-specific requirements.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, or another relevant engineering discipline is required.
• At least 5 years of QA/QC experience in the renewable energy industry, with preference for PV solar project exposure.
• Quality management system certification such as ISO 9001, or another relevant QA/QC certification, is preferred.
• Hands-on experience with ground-mounted solar PV projects, ideally in the Middle East, is preferred.
• Strong communication ability and leadership skills are essential.
