Job description
Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled Energy Marshal to contribute to a significant data centre construction project based in Brandenburg, Germany. This position plays a vital role in overseeing electrical energy activities on site, ensuring all energisation and de-energisation of live or potentially live systems are systematically planned, properly authorized, and safely carried out.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise, coordinate, and approve all energisation and de-energisation procedures throughout the construction site.
- Oversee permit to work (PTW) and lock out tag out (LOTO) protocols for electrical operations.
- Collaborate with commissioning, construction, and safety teams to ensure all live system tasks are accurately planned and sanctioned.
- Maintain rigorous communication and documentation for all switching and isolation activities.
- Assist project management and superintendents in implementing electrical safety measures program-wide.
- Ensure adherence to applicable German and international electrical safety standards during all phases.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Proficiency in German is mandatory for this role.
- Experience in electrical construction, commissioning, or energy control on major projects; familiarity with data centres is advantageous but not required.
- Ability to operate effectively in a high-pressure construction setting.
- Possession of recognized electrical safety certifications and training (such as VEFK, Schaltberechtigung, SAP, or internationally acknowledged equivalents).
- Legal eligibility to work in Germany.
Employment Details
- Contract tenure: 12 months, with a strong possibility of extension.
- Working hours: 50 hours per week.
- Competitive daily remuneration, dependent on experience level.
