About the Role
Join Jumpleads, a growing social enterprise focused on enhancing regional Australian communities, as a Community Engagement & Education Officer based in Shoalhaven and Eurobodalla, NSW. This casual position, involving approximately 10-12 hours per week, provides an opportunity to help local households lower energy expenses and adapt to clean energy solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the community representative for the household energy education project.
- Build trusted relationships with residents to encourage engagement and participation.
- Organize and lead community events focused on energy efficiency and electrification.
- Assist households in understanding and accessing government rebate programs and support related to energy use.
Candidate Profile
- Strong interpersonal skills with a passion for connecting and fostering relationships.
- Comfortable facilitating group discussions and public speaking.
- Independent worker with self-motivated initiative.
- Experience or knowledge in household energy efficiency, electrification, and sustainability education is essential.
- Familiarity with the local region and active involvement in the community is preferred.
- Desire to undertake meaningful work that delivers tangible benefits and impacts to the local area.
