Job Overview
Located near Darling Harbour in the trendy Darling Quarter area, Ichoume is a fashionable Japanese izakaya restaurant seeking lively and cheerful waiters and waitresses to join their team. This role involves providing excellent customer service primarily to an international clientele, with a majority of non-Japanese customers, making it an ideal opportunity for those wanting to improve English communication skills in a hospitality setting.
Responsibilities
- Provide attentive, friendly service to customers in the dining area.
- Communicate clearly with customers using English for order taking and inquiries.
- Maintain a positive and vibrant attitude to contribute to a welcoming atmosphere.
- Collaborate with team members, including bartenders and other staff.
- Assist in smooth daily operations and maintain cleanliness of the dining area.
Requirements
- Working Holiday visa, student visa, business visa, permanent residency, citizenship or equivalent eligibility to work in Australia.
- Basic to intermediate English communication skills sufficient for simple interaction.
- Responsible and energetic demeanor; enthusiasm is valued over advanced English skills.
- Current RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) certification required for bartenders and hall staff.
- Ability to work part-time or full-time hours according to availability.
