Role Overview

We are currently seeking Employment Lawyers with over 4-7 years post-qualification experience (PQE) to join our esteemed Employment Team. The role involves advising a diverse clientele on a wide spectrum of employment law issues.

• Drafting employment contracts, workplace policies, and ensuring compliance
• Handling employment relations challenges and disciplinary procedures
• Managing personal grievance claims and employment disputes
• Supporting organizational restructuring and workplace transitions
• Participating in mediation, investigations, and Employment Relations Authority proceedings
• Providing strategic employment consultations across various industries

From the outset, you will be entrusted with significant responsibilities, direct client engagement, and receive continuous support to enhance your technical skills and professional confidence.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate has a genuine passion for employment law, appreciating the field's diverse nature. They marry strong legal knowledge with pragmatic solutions, consistently prioritizing excellent client care.

• Minimum of 4-7+ years' PQE; admitted to practice in New Zealand
• Proven experience in advising on a comprehensive range of employment and workplace issues, including disputes, personal grievances, disciplinary actions, restructures, investigations, and mediations
• Thorough understanding of employment legislation and its commercial application
• Exceptional drafting skills for employment contracts, policies, correspondence, and legal opinions
• Strong communication, negotiation, and advocacy abilities
• Capability to manage multiple priorities independently
• Collaborative and approachable manner compatible with our team culture
