About the opportunity

The firm is looking for a transactional lawyer to join its high-performing Corporate and Finance practice. In this position, you will work closely with three partners who bring substantial international experience and represent prominent national and international clients across domestic and cross-border matters.

The team’s specialist work includes asset and aviation finance, especially international transactions, property finance, project finance in the energy and infrastructure sectors, acquisition finance, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate advisory and structuring.

From the start, you will receive support to strengthen your technical capability, develop trusted client relationships, and build confidence while working on a broad range of complex and engaging matters.

About you

You are a commercially aware transactional lawyer with 2-6+ years of post-qualification experience and a strong interest in corporate and finance law.

• You are admitted to practice in New Zealand or in another common law jurisdiction.
• You bring relevant experience in corporate law and/or banking and finance.
• You have a strong service mindset and are focused on adding value for clients.
• You work proactively and maintain a strong standard of effort.
• You are comfortable working with a good degree of independence.
• You have excellent written, verbal, and technical ability.
• You collaborate well and have a practical, down-to-earth approach.
