Employee Relations Specialist

Overview

Qatar Airways is recruiting a knowledgeable Employee Relations Specialist to oversee the evaluation, management, and resolution of employee relations issues within the organization. This role focuses on ensuring all cases are addressed fairly, consistently, and in accordance with company policies and governance standards. The successful candidate will help identify employee-related and organizational risks, provide well-founded insights, and recommend actionable solutions to aid informed decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate new and ongoing employee relations cases, such as alleged policy violations, misconduct, workplace issues, and breaches of procedure.
• Determine the urgency, sensitivity, and risk involved in each case and prioritize accordingly.
• Gather background information and establish key facts by identifying relevant departments, conducting research, and recognizing involved stakeholders and contributing factors.
• Conduct unbiased and thorough internal investigations as per applicable policies and timelines.
• Collect, analyze, and review evidence from various sources, including interviews, documents, statements, and records.
• Interview staff and relevant parties, ensuring accurate documentation and secure handling of evidence.
• Interpret complex data to verify facts, uncover inconsistencies, assess operational or financial impacts, consulting with business units as needed, and support fact-based conclusions.
• Produce clear, detailed reports outlining findings, constraints, supporting evidence, and recommendations for management consideration.
• Offer objective guidance to mitigate risks and direct corrective or preventive measures.
• Advise leadership on trends and recurring issues to enhance employee relations practices, policy adherence, and workplace standards.

Your Profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification is required.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in employee relations, human resources investigations, and case handling.
• In-depth knowledge of HR policies, employee relations frameworks, workplace governance, and principles of procedural fairness.
• Proven expertise in managing sensitive and confidential employee issues in a professional and impartial manner.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities to evaluate complex information and produce evidence-backed outcomes.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of drafting structured investigative reports and recommendations for review.
• High ethical standards, discretion, and dedication to fairness, confidentiality, and due process.
• Exceptional attention to detail with an ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines without compromising quality.
• Experience with international employee relations or managing cases across multiple jurisdictions is highly advantageous.
