EMEA Payroll Specialist - Finance (Fixed Term)

Role overview

This fixed-term position sits within NVIDIA’s Global Payroll function and is based in either Munich/Wuerselen, Germany or Reading, UK. The role reports to the Head of International Payroll in the UK and works closely with Finance and HR teams. It covers day-to-day payroll compliance across EMEA and also supports special initiatives such as EMEA payroll implementation and payroll process improvement programs across NVIDIA’s regional payroll operations.

The position also involves coordination with HR on new-hire setup and benefits administration. Because the job includes handling highly sensitive information, the successful candidate must work with strong discretion, confidentiality, ethical judgment, and a high level of accountability for HR and payroll controls and related company policies.

This is an 18-month fixed-term contract.

What you will handle

• Support the Global Payroll team in managing more than 23 European payrolls.
• Help deliver the rollout of the global payroll system.
• Oversee payroll compliance work, including accurate and timely processing, statutory remittances, regulatory filings, and employee payments.
• Collect and coordinate employee data related to pension and health insurance, including registration with the relevant authorities and employee document handling.
• Run payroll onboarding sessions for international new joiners and transfers.
• Maintain payroll documentation, files, and records.
• Liaise with external parties such as auditors, tax agencies, and payroll vendors.
• Work with HR, external payroll providers, and banking partners to ensure payroll data is collected, checked, and processed correctly so that salaries are credited on time.
• Partner with Finance teams in India on month-end journals, fluctuation analysis, balance sheet reconciliations, and payroll accounting.
• Respond to employee queries and provide guidance and support as needed.

What we are looking for

• Professional payroll certification is required.
• Experience with pensions and employee benefits is required.
• Background in finance is considered an advantage.
• At least 8 years of payroll experience in a global environment, including exposure to international payroll tax systems and stock-based compensation.
• Strong working knowledge of payroll platforms, internal controls, and compliance processes.
• Excellent communication and people skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Office capability, especially Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
• Strong organization, project management, time management, and multitasking ability.
• Good analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail.
• Comfort with fast-changing priorities, shifting responsibilities, and tight deadlines.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• Willingness to adapt, work independently with limited supervision, collaborate across international teams, and travel when required.
