About the role
Join NVIDIA’s applied research group in Yerevan and contribute to the next generation of conversational AI. The team builds advanced language models for code and mathematical reasoning, develops methods to speed up large-model training on GPU cloud infrastructure, and publishes new models through the NeMo open-source conversational AI toolkit. The work is highly collaborative and involves close interaction with research, product, and academic teams.
What you will do
- Create and improve deep learning models focused on code and mathematics reasoning.
- Build new approaches for training large-scale AI systems efficiently.
- Release models and research through the NeMo conversational AI framework.
- Guide and support interns as part of the research team.
- Prepare and publish research for leading AI conferences.
- Work with universities and internal/external research partners.
What we are looking for
- A PhD in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering with a deep learning specialization.
- At least 2 years of research experience in deep learning theory and practical applications.
- Strong Python programming ability.
- Hands-on experience with PyTorch.
- A solid publication history in deep learning.
Preferred background
- Contributions to open-source software or research projects.
- Experience reviewing for major speech or AI conferences.
