Job Overview
The Electrician in the evening shift will support production lines to ensure adherence to quality specifications, focusing on electrical and pneumatic troubleshooting and maintenance to optimize manufacturing processes within the medical device sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide electrical fault diagnosis and repair support for assigned manufacturing lines to maintain quality standards.
- Conduct preventive maintenance procedures on production equipment, updating documentation as needed aligned with continuous improvement initiatives.
- Serve as primary contact for electrical and pneumatic troubleshooting during the evening shift, collaborating to resolve equipment issues systematically.
- Report directly to the maintenance manager and engage in cross-functional process improvement activities.
- Initiate, approve, and execute continuous improvement projects on equipment and processes.
- Communicate operational issues effectively with production teams, prioritizing problem-solving efforts.
- Implement equipment installations and modifications as required.
- Seek technical guidance for complex issues from engineers or supervisors.
- Demonstrate adaptability to evolving business demands and priorities.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Electrical trade certification is mandatory; a diploma or bachelor's in engineering is preferred.
- At least five years of relevant experience, ideally in industrial manufacturing or automation.
- Strong analytical abilities with a track record of resolving moderately complex technical problems, particularly with bespoke equipment.
- Experience in PLC troubleshooting and familiarity with OEE hardware/software is advantageous.
- Proficient knowledge of tooling, testing equipment, and facilities plant systems.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and teamwork skills with capability to work independently.
