Job description
About the Role
We are recruiting a skilled Low Voltage Electrician to join our electrical department in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role involves executing electrical installations, preventive upkeep, troubleshooting, and repairs for building infrastructure and low-voltage systems operating below 500 volts.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance tasks on low-voltage electrical wiring systems.
- Install, service, and repair lighting fixtures and various electrical hardware.
- Detect electrical faults and carry out the necessary corrective maintenance interventions.
- Examine electrical wiring, connections, distribution panels, and equipment to ensure safe and proper functioning.
- Utilize electrical testing devices, hand and power tools in a safe and correct manner.
- Interpret basic electrical plans and wiring schematics accurately.
- Carry out both preventive and corrective maintenance duties as instructed.
- Adhere strictly to all electrical safety protocols and consistently use applicable personal protective equipment.
- Report any detected faults, safety hazards, or maintenance needs to supervisors.
- Maintain punctuality, discipline, and adhere to all site-specific procedural guidelines.
Qualifications and Experience
- Possess a technical diploma, certificate, or recognized vocational qualification in electrical disciplines or related fields.
- Demonstrated practical knowledge of low-voltage electrical systems including wiring, lighting, and accessories.
- Experience within building facilities, operations and maintenance, or facility management projects is required.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and identify faults effectively.
- Basic proficiency in English communication.
- Capability to follow technical instructions and work under supervision.
- Willingness to participate in technical or electrical trade proficiency assessments.
Experience Requirements
- At least 2 years of relevant experience coupled with a three-year technical diploma, or
- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience with a two-year technical certificate, or
- A minimum of 6 years relevant experience with a one-year apprenticeship certificate.
Preferred Skills and Competencies
- Expertise in electrical troubleshooting and fault detection.
- Strong understanding of electrical safety protocols and use of personal protective equipment.
- Familiarity with building facilities and operations and maintenance environments.
- Skilled in managing multiple maintenance tasks simultaneously.
- Good teamwork, attentive listening, and strong organizational abilities.
- Basic computer skills are advantageous.
