About the Role

Join North Yorkshire Council's expanding Educational Psychology team, dedicated to supporting children, young people, and families through a systemic and values-driven approach. You will work within a central team and collaborate locally with multi-agency partners, focusing on early intervention and the Experts at Hand initiative.

The service is growing rapidly, offering opportunities to contribute creatively to projects such as the Best Start in Life strategy, support for military families, addressing children missing education (EBSA), and transition planning. Professional development and service innovation are actively encouraged, with dedicated time allocated for these activities. Our vision promotes consultation-based empowerment and sustainable psychological services.

Role Requirements

Successful candidates are innovative educational psychologists ready to apply psychological theories and frameworks to promote positive outcomes. A master's or doctorate in Educational Psychology is essential, along with registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). We welcome applications from all career stages, including those anticipating registration upon completing recognized training in September 2027. Year 3 trainee psychologists expecting forthcoming registration are also eligible.
