Role Description
Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools is seeking an Education Support Officer to provide crucial one-on-one and small group assistance to students with diverse special educational needs. This role involves supporting students with physical, cognitive, or behavioural challenges, aiding teachers in executing individualized education plans, and preparing learning resources. The successful candidate will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, monitor student progress, maintain records, and foster an inclusive school environment.
Role Requirements
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with special educational needs, including those with physical, cognitive, or behavioural challenges.
- Assist teachers in implementing individualised education plans and effective teaching strategies.
- Help with the preparation of learning materials and resources to support student learning.
- Participate in team meetings and collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to ensure the best possible outcomes for students.
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to student support.
- Contribute to the overall positive and inclusive culture of the school.

The successful candidate would be required to have appropriate Criminal Records Checks and Working with Children Check.
