Role Overview
Kinia is growing and is looking for an enthusiastic team member to work alongside educators and help develop their practice through the use of technology and creative approaches to digital and STEM skills development. This position works across schools and the youth sector.
Position Details
Role: Education Officer
Location: Hybrid, with remote working from home or a hub and travel as required

What You Will Do
- Deliver Kinia professional development sessions in schools and youth settings in line with the organisation’s standards.
- Use Kinia’s existing resources and frameworks to support educators in building digital and STEM capability.
- Coordinate the delivery of Kinia-related events and workshops.
- Oversee the distribution of educational materials and equipment needed for training sessions.
- Provide ongoing support to educators, schools, and youth services so they can successfully adopt programmes.
- Help educators put training into practice through structured follow-up in classroom and youth-work settings.
- Collect and monitor participant feedback to maintain a high standard of delivery.
- Develop Kinia’s national educator network and actively work with it.
- Manage partnerships and relationships with multiple stakeholders to ensure smooth programme implementation.
- Contribute to an internal community of practice by sharing insights from the field.
- Stay up to date with developments in education, digital learning, and EdTech.
- Manage project timelines, deliverables, and administrative tasks.
Requirements
- A level 7 qualification or higher in Education, Youth Work, and/or a STEM-related discipline.
- At least 2 years’ experience facilitating learning in a classroom or youth-development setting.
- A full, clean driving licence, as travel to schools and hubs is required.
- Strong ability to communicate technology and STEM ideas in a way that is engaging and accessible.
- High digital fluency, with confidence using a range of software and equipment.
- Ability to adapt and solve problems in dynamic, people-centred environments.
- Excellent organisation, attention to detail, and self-motivation.
- Creative thinking with strong problem-solving ability.
- Strong interpersonal, relationship-building, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid/remote environment.
- Desirable: proficiency in Irish, or a strong willingness to learn and take part in the language in a bilingual environment.
Additional Information
Contract and probation: This is a permanent full-time role, subject to funding.
Salary: Approximately €34,000, depending on experience.
Pension scheme: After successful completion of probation, employees may join Kinia’s PRSA pension scheme, administered through New Ireland. Staff are required to contribute a minimum of 5% of gross monthly salary, with Kinia matching up to 5%.
Hybrid working support: Kinia operates a flexible hybrid workplace. Many staff are based across the country, and employees may access remote working hubs, the Dublin office, or the Galway office. Travel will be necessary. Financial support is provided to help employees purchase the broadband and IT equipment needed to work from home.
Annual leave: 23 days of annual leave plus 2 additional company days.
Expenses and allowances: Kinia covers travel expenses, a logistics allowance, and subsistence allowances for travel required as part of the role. A monthly phone allowance is also provided, along with a once-off allowance to purchase a work phone.
Employee support: An Employee Assistance Programme is available, and Kinia can work closely with employees who need support through it.
Learning and development: Kinia aims to support staff in their learning, development, and career progression. Line managers work with direct reports to create an annual learning and development plan to support growth.
