About the Role
Drayton Manor Zoo invites passionate individuals to join as an Education Officer, combining education, conservation, and visitor engagement within a dynamic and diverse zoo environment. This paid full-time position is located in Tamworth, West Midlands and aims to fuse wildlife preservation with vibrant educational initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver engaging, inclusive educational programs that cater to all ages.
- Develop conservation-focused messaging that aligns with contemporary zoo standards.
- Create unique guest experiences at the zoo and dinosaur trail attractions.
- Contribute to strategic planning of the Education Department’s future development.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to promote educational events and experiences effectively.
- Oversee teaching materials, exhibits, and daily operations of the Education Centre.
- Support a range of zoo activities including events, outreach programs, talks, clubs, and animal interactions.
- Guide and assist volunteers while ensuring high standards of presentation throughout the zoo premises.

Additional Information
