Key Responsibilities

• Carefully proofread and copyedit articles to ensure clarity, grammatical accuracy, and error-free content.
• Format articles within Google Docs and WordPress while applying SEO best practices.
• Publish content on WordPress maintaining proper formatting, metadata accuracy, and effective internal links.
• Communicate with writers to resolve edits and confirm deadlines.
• Work alongside the CEO and managing editors to maintain smooth operations in the publishing process.

Required Qualifications

• Strong command of grammar, spelling, and editing techniques.
• Good understanding of SEO principles relevant to publishing online content.
• Familiarity with WordPress, Google Docs, and Trello project management software.
• Enthusiasm for producing polished, high-quality writing.
• Self-motivated and capable of managing deadlines independently.
• Previous experience in editorial roles, publishing, or digital media is advantageous.

Compensation and Commitment

The role offers a pay rate between $15 and $22 per hour, based on experience, with an estimated commitment of approximately 50 hours per month under contract terms.
