Job description
About the role
This position is for quantitative specialists who want to contribute to AI model training. You will collaborate with advanced AI systems on work such as checking AI-produced quantitative analyses, tackling technical challenges, and giving structured feedback that helps improve how models reason about data, quantitative methods, and scientific problems.
The role is suitable for professionals from fields including data science, astrophysics, economics, biostatistics, operations research, and other closely related quantitative disciplines. If you are comfortable applying rigorous, data-driven thinking, your background is relevant here. Some contributors use this alongside a full-time job, while others make it their main work.
How the process works
After creating an account, you will complete a short assessment that acts as the screening step. Candidates who pass will receive confirmation by email, and paid assignments will then be available on the platform.
Contracting benefits
- Select the projects you want to take on and decide when you work.
- Work independently on your own schedule, using your own computer from home.
- Project pay starts at USD 50 to USD 100+ per hour, and some projects include bonus pay.
Responsibilities
- Review AI-created quantitative outputs for accuracy, including statistical work, predictive models, scientific reasoning, and data-based conclusions.
- Create and solve quantitative tasks used to train and evaluate AI systems across forecasting, experimental analysis, optimization, and statistical inference.
- Prepare clear technical write-ups and maintain well-structured analytical code.
- Share feedback that helps improve future AI models focused on quantitative reasoning.
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of practical experience in a quantitative role or research setting, such as data science, statistics, economics, finance, physics, biology, epidemiology, operations research, or a related area.
- Working coding knowledge, including the ability to write and review analytical code from start to finish.
- Hands-on familiarity with statistical techniques, predictive modeling, and experimental design, such as A/B testing, hypothesis testing, regression, classification, and time-series forecasting.
- Strong English communication skills at native or bilingual level, with excellent writing ability.
- A bachelor's degree in a quantitative subject is preferred, such as Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering; a master's degree or PhD is an added advantage.
- Additional credentials such as Kaggle rankings, AWS/GCP machine learning certifications, or similar proof of expertise are considered a plus.
Additional information
Payment is processed through PayPal, and no fees or money will ever be requested from applicants. Any currency conversion from USD will be handled by PayPal. Only candidates based in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand will be considered. This is an independent contractor position.
Since the pay is stated as hourly, the role is paid work rather than unpaid training.
