Young Academics Early Learning Centre operates more than 50 centres across New South Wales, providing quality early childhood education. We are seeking a committed Early Childhood Teacher to join our Glenmore Village Service team.

Role Overview

As an Early Childhood Teacher, you will design and implement meaningful educational experiences that align with best practices and our service philosophy. Child safety and regulatory compliance are paramount, and you will maintain these standards throughout your work. Collaboration with educators, families, and the wider community is essential to nurture children's wellbeing, confidence, and a lifelong passion for learning.

This full-time position operates Monday to Friday on a rotating roster between 6:30 am and 6 pm.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver engaging, inclusive educational programs based on the Early Years Learning Framework.
  • Support colleagues through intentional teaching, teamwork, and reflective practice.
  • Foster positive, respectful relationships with children, families, and staff.
  • Adhere to Centre Policies, Procedures, and the ECA Code of Ethics, maintaining thorough documentation and program evaluations.
  • Promote positive behavior and ensure a safe, healthy environment for all stakeholders.
  • Comply with the National Quality Framework, including laws, regulations, and quality standards.
  • Participate actively in the Quality Improvement Plan to enhance centre practices.
  • Advocate for children, families, and the early childhood profession to uphold our service’s professional standards.
  • Fulfill mandatory reporting responsibilities related to child safety.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Early Childhood and Care from a nationally recognized registered training organization.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and practical application of the National Quality Framework.
  • Hold a current First Aid and CPR certificate.
  • Have a valid paid Employee Working with Children Check.
  • Maintain mandatory national child safety training certifications.

Child Safety Commitment

Young Academics places utmost importance on children’s safety and wellbeing. Our decisions and actions ensure the protection of children's rights, interests, and voices. Applicants must provide at least two professional referees. Background verifications include reference checks and validation of Working with Children checks, ensuring no prohibitions exist. CCTV surveillance is used within centres, and the organisation works closely with regulatory bodies to report any child safety concerns.
