About the Role
EY invites expressions of interest for specialists in quality assurance within the English as an Additional Language (EAL) Framework and Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) sectors. This position supports the development and implementation of a quality assurance system for an English language teaching program administered by VET-accredited providers across Australia. The role is based in Canberra (Ngambri) and offers flexibility through hybrid work arrangements and the possibility of reduced hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in creating a quality assurance framework tailored for English teaching programs.
- Observe and evaluate English teaching methods, learner participation, and ensure alignment with the EAL Framework standards.
- Support quality assurance procedures conducted over VET-accredited educational providers.
- Engage in internal moderation exercises to uphold consistency in assessment results.
- Contribute TESOL subject matter expertise during the delivery of quality assurance activities.
Required Skills and Experience
- Thorough knowledge of the EAL Framework curriculum.
- Experience conducting quality assurance, audits, or evaluation in educational settings.
- Background working with culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) and vulnerable learners.
- Familiarity with the Vocational Education and Training (VET) Quality Framework and its application.
Preferred Qualifications and Attributes
- Formal TESOL qualification.
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
- Diploma in Quality Auditing.
- A positive attitude, aptitude for learning, and openness to development opportunities.
