Job description

About ASMO

ASMO is a joint venture created by DHL and Aramco, combining DHL’s logistics strengths with Aramco’s wide supply chain network to create a new standard in procurement and supply chain services. The business is being built to support growth through reliable, integrated end-to-end procurement and supply chain solutions.

ASMO is expected to begin operations in 2025. Its services are designed for the industrial, energy, chemical, and petrochemical sectors. In the near term, the main customers will be Saudi Aramco and its affiliates, with future expansion planned across industrial sectors in Saudi Arabia and later the MENA region.

Role objective

This position is focused on improving and overseeing procurement operations. The selected professional will manage claims handling, support the supplier helpdesk, and provide administrative assistance to keep procurement workflows efficient, compliant, and aligned with internal policies.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage the full lifecycle of procurement claims, including supplier disagreements, damaged shipments, and breaches of contract terms.
  • Conduct thorough claim reviews by working with internal teams, checking contract terms, and collecting supporting documentation.
  • Design and apply practical approaches for closing claims quickly and effectively, including negotiation, contract updates, or legal escalation when required.
  • Handle procurement-related questions and concerns, such as purchase order updates, supplier onboarding support, and general process guidance.
  • Partner with procurement teams and suppliers to resolve issues without delay.
  • Keep procurement procedures clearly documented, easy to access, and regularly updated for staff and stakeholders.
  • Spot opportunities to simplify workflows, improve efficiency, and introduce automation into procurement administration.
  • Support the rollout and ongoing use of procurement tools and systems, including procurement platforms and finance-related systems.
  • Help train procurement teams on tools and technology to encourage strong adoption and effective usage.
  • Coordinate with legal, finance, and operations teams to resolve claims and operational issues.
  • Make sure procurement activities remain compliant with ASMO policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
  • Review data from claims, helpdesk cases, and administrative activity to identify patterns, improvement areas, and actionable insights for the E-commerce Manager.

Requirements
