About ASMO
ASMO is a newly established joint venture formed by DHL and Aramco, combining DHL’s logistics capabilities with Aramco’s supply chain network to raise the standard for procurement and supply chain services. The company is being built to support growth and deliver integrated end-to-end services.
ASMO is expected to become operational in 2025. Its initial customer focus will be Saudi Aramco and its affiliates, with future expansion planned across industrial sectors in Saudi Arabia and eventually the wider MENA region.
Role Overview
The Business Continuity Plan & Disaster Recovery Analyst will create, roll out, and maintain continuity and recovery plans that help protect ASMO from IT-related interruptions. The position involves evaluating risks, shaping recovery approaches, and leading disaster recovery tests and drills.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply working knowledge of business continuity concepts, procedures, and established practices to gather, verify, and organize objective data.
- Use existing principles to decide on appropriate actions and, where needed, improve or adjust current processes and methods.
- Perform business impact analyses to understand how disruptions could affect operations.
- Design and maintain business continuity and disaster recovery plans based on risk assessments and impact analysis.
- Set recovery time objectives and recovery point objectives for essential systems and business processes.
- Plan and run recurring testing, simulations, and exercises for continuity and recovery plans.
- Identify threats, gaps, and vulnerabilities that may affect business performance.
- Work with business teams to identify critical processes and determine what should be restored first.
- Keep continuity and recovery documentation current, including procedures, reference materials, and contact information.
- Deliver awareness sessions and training to help employees understand continuity and recovery expectations.
- Suggest training and development actions that strengthen team capability.
- Support ongoing improvements in systems, workflows, and practices to raise efficiency and productivity.
- Follow all relevant IT BCP & DR policies, procedures, and instructions so work remains controlled and consistent.
- Help prepare accurate and timely reports in line with departmental standards and requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business continuity management, disaster recovery, or a closely related field from a recognized and accredited university.
- Master’s degree in business continuity management, disaster recovery, or a related field is preferred.
- Professional certifications in business continuity or disaster recovery, such as CBCP, ABCP, or MBCI, are preferred.
- Strong spoken and written English communication skills.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the same field.
