Role overview
The Brick is looking for an Ecommerce Manager to join its Marketing Team. This position suits someone who naturally takes the lead, works well with others, welcomes new challenges, and is strongly driven by results. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and comfortable operating in a fast-moving, agile setting.
In this role, you will work closely with the Marketing Team to guide a growing Ecommerce Team and act as the main owner of online performance for thebrick.com and other digital channels. You will be expected to define and deliver targets, analyze and report on website performance, support the delivery of the product roadmap, and motivate the team in both day-to-day execution and professional growth. The role also offers broad exposure through collaboration with colleagues and leaders across Marketing, Product Buying, and Store Operations.

Key responsibilities
- Deliver daily sales KPIs and user experience objectives.
- Guide the Ecommerce Team with ongoing coaching, direction, and support.
- Organize and rank daily team priorities while improving workflow efficiency and productivity.
- Contribute to the strategic direction of the company’s digital roadmap.
- Plan and prioritize work tied to the digital roadmap in support of the broader marketing strategy, working closely with Marketing, Information Systems, Operations, and Purchasing.
- Study customer behaviors and expectations to help shape and improve current and future websites and applications.
- Support the rollout of major digital initiatives on a day-to-day basis.
- Establish and monitor key performance measures for digital projects, including site change impact and conversion improvement efforts.
- Manage internal and external stakeholder relationships to ensure digital initiatives are delivered successfully.
- Present reports, insights, and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and proactive manner.
- Coordinate promotions and campaigns while maintaining brand voice and digital design standards across all customer touchpoints.
- Continuously hire for critical skill sets and help strengthen the team’s capabilities in current technologies and ecommerce trends.
- Keep up to date with the competitive market and emerging trends to support future planning.
Team leadership scope
- Oversee team functions such as web design, web development, promotions coordination, product catalogue management, copywriting, operations, SEO strategy, customer experience, and online chat.
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Business with a focus on Marketing, Ecommerce, and/or Communications.
- At least 5 years of experience in Ecommerce, Digital Marketing, or a related marketing field.
- At least 3 years of leadership experience.
- Strong working knowledge of current and emerging marketing technology, ecommerce platforms, website environments, and technical stacks.
- Strong hands-on experience with Google Analytics and similar performance-tracking tools.
- Experience with organic SEO and CRO strategy and planning.
- Solid understanding of UX principles and mobile/desktop design planning.
- Ability to interpret data, explain findings, and propose next steps and action plans.
- Experience with testing and quality assurance.
- Ability to plan site improvements with a focus on conversion and other user-experience metrics.
- Strong communication skills and confidence in presenting ideas.
- Experience negotiating with external vendors.
- Self-directed, organized, and able to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize work, handle multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
