About the Position
We are in search of a Performance Creative Strategist skilled at leveraging insights rather than assumptions to craft top-performing advertisements. This pivotal role unites facets of performance marketing, consumer behavior, creative strategy, and e-commerce.
The strategist will be tasked with generating imaginative concepts that boost customer acquisition and sales across a variety of paid media platforms, including Meta, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, and Google.
Collaboration is key, as this role partners closely with media buyers, design teams, video editors, content creators, and brand managers to convert data-driven insights into compelling advertising creatives.
The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience expanding the reach of beauty, skincare, wellness, luxury, or upscale consumer brands through paid social advertising and understands the critical difference between aesthetically pleasing ads and those that successfully convert.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement creative strategies aimed at enhancing return on ad spend (ROAS), reducing cost per acquisition (CPA), and increasing conversion rates.
- Develop creative concepts informed by audience insights, competitor research, and emerging platform trends.
- Translate marketing goals into scalable creative frameworks.
- Collaborate closely with media buyers to pinpoint creative opportunities revealed by campaign metrics.
- Establish and manage a creative testing roadmap to continuously enhance campaign effectiveness.
- Conduct deep consumer and audience research to identify pain points, motivations, emotional triggers, objections, purchase occasions, personas, and messaging styles.
- Create innovative ad angles aligned with diverse audience segments.
- Develop engaging hooks, scroll-stopping initial seconds, messaging hierarchies, creative hypotheses, offer positioning, product storytelling, problem/solution narratives, and user-generated content (UGC) concepts.
- Prepare thorough creative briefs for designers, editors, photographers, creators, and UGC talent, specifying target audience, insights, creative goals, hook direction, messaging, scripts, visual references, calls to action, and key performance indicators.
- Monitor and optimize paid social creatives through structured tests, analyzing metrics such as thumb-stop rate, hook rate, hold rate, CTR, CPC, CPA, CVR, ROAS, frequency, and creative fatigue.
- Develop detailed testing plans covering hooks, headlines, offers, formats, messaging, creators, UGC, product demos, video lengths, static versus motion visuals, and lifestyle versus educational content.
- Maintain a systematic testing database documenting important findings to replicate winning creative concepts across brands.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with paid media, creative design, video production, influencer marketing, brand marketing, e-commerce, CRM, and social media teams to ensure creative output aligns with campaign goals and upholds premium brand standards.
Qualifications
- Over three years of experience in performance creative strategy, paid social creative, growth marketing, or e-commerce marketing.
- Experience working with beauty, skincare, luxury, wellness, fashion, or premium consumer brands.
- Proven track record of creating performance-focused creatives for Meta and TikTok advertising campaigns.
- Strong understanding of the direct-to-consumer (DTC) customer journey.
- Demonstrated ability to partner with paid media teams to optimize creative performance.
- Skills in analyzing campaign data and transforming insights into creative recommendations.
- Excellent proficiency in delivering detailed creative briefs and effective communication.
