Role Overview
The Duty Manager role is focused on setting a high bar for service, cleanliness, and productivity across the hotel. In this position, you will lead from the front and support a strong team-first culture, ensuring guest concerns, questions, and feedback are handled smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee guest experience, team output, and day-to-day hotel operations.
- Organize priorities effectively so the team delivers warm, memorable service.
- Coach and develop team members to improve performance and overall hotel results.
- Speak with guests directly to address complaints, questions, and concerns in a genuine way.
- Serve as the primary contact during critical emergency situations.
Required Profile
The ideal candidate should hold at least a diploma or an equivalent qualification, with some college education preferred. A minimum of 2 years of experience leading front desk or guest service teams is required. Strong spoken and written English is essential, while knowledge of additional languages is an advantage. You should also bring basic mathematical ability, strong communication skills, sound reasoning, problem-solving ability, and the confidence to motivate others.
This role involves standing for long periods at the front desk and may occasionally require lifting heavy items. Familiarity with hotel property management systems such as Opera will be helpful. Availability to work evenings and weekends is necessary.
