Drug-Patent Relationship Specialist

Role Overview

We are seeking a Drug-Patent Relationship Specialist to analyze and categorize the relationships between pharmaceutical drugs and patents. This position involves examining patent documents, determining the relevance of patents to drugs, and enhancing data quality and AI integration for patent analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed analysis of drug-patent relationships, categorizing patents as core, recommended, low-confidence review, or excluded.
• Examine patent abstracts, claims, descriptions, families, applicant information, and supplemental public data.
• Evaluate the connections between patents and drugs, including structures, targets, indications, or mechanisms of action.
• Document evidence snippets, source references, types of relationships, confidence assessments, and rationale for review decisions.
• Contribute to defining schemas for patent relationships, recommendation classifications, exclusion criteria, and quality benchmarks.
• Collaborate with AI Native Data Engineers to translate patent evaluations into prompts, quality assurance protocols, and error sample databases.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years' experience working with patent data, drug patents, pharmaceutical intelligence, IP analysis, or life science information.
• Proficiency in reading and understanding English patent documentation such as titles, abstracts, claims, patent families, and drug-related data.
• Preferred background in pharmaceuticals, chemistry, biology, patent information, or related life sciences intelligence fields.
• Patent attorney certification is not mandatory.
• Exceptional skills in documenting evidence, articulating uncertainties, and explaining reasoning.
• Familiarity with AI tools aimed at enhancing consistency and efficiency in data processing.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a Chinese-English bilingual environment is advantageous.
