Opportunity Overview
Join Cleanaway's new Container Deposit Scheme (CDS) team as a Rear Lift Operator in Geelong. This permanent full-time opportunity involves driving and operating rear lift collection vehicles to collect, load, and transport returned containers for recycling, contributing to an innovative sustainable waste management initiative.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate rear lift collection vehicles for container collection and recycling activities
- Conduct daily prestart and maintenance inspections on vehicles and equipment to ensure safety and compliance
- Transport collected loads to designated recycling and disposal facilities efficiently and safely
- Adhere strictly to Fatigue Management regulations and training requirements
- Maintain a professional company image and provide excellent customer service at all times
Candidate Requirements
- Possess a valid HR licence with proven driving experience
- Availability to work Wednesday through Sunday, starting shifts at 5:30 am
- Have a clean driving record with no major infringements
- Physically capable and comfortable with manual handling duties
- Strong customer service orientation and effective communication skills
- Willingness to undergo pre-employment medical screening, including drug and alcohol tests
