Driver (Per Diem) - Cortland County Office for Aging (Multiple Positions)

Job Overview

This role involves providing transportation services to clients, ensuring they reach destinations such as medical appointments, school, work, shopping, recreational activities, and other events. Additional duties include delivering meals or materials and keeping an accurate daily log of transportation activities. The position operates under general supervision but allows for independent decision-making in executing daily responsibilities.

Work Details

• Per diem work schedule with up to 17 hours per week.
• Position is non-competitive and probationary.
• Salary ranges from $18.37 to $23.25 per hour.
• Work location is at the Cortland County Office for Aging.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Must possess a valid New York State driver’s license appropriate for the vehicles used in service.
• Maintaining an active NYS driver’s license and driving privileges is mandatory throughout employment; losing these may result in disciplinary actions or dismissal.
• Pre-employment screenings are necessary and must be successfully completed.
